Electromotors and solenoids are the most important components in almost all electrical devices. Two of the main requirements are high safety and long life cycles. This requires absolute electrical stability within the current-conducting components.

IDC stands for Insulation Displacement Connection, our unique technology that creates a reliable gas-tight connection between the enameled wire and the insulation displacement terminal. iwis smart connect thus provides the highest quality technology currently available for contacting enameled wires.

The patented “Quadra-Beam” IDC system consists of four individually operating spring legs and is designed for contacting a wide range of wire diameters. It generates a contact surface that is up to approx. 40% larger than conventional IDC versions. The constantly high contact pressure creates a gas-tight connection. This ensures fault-free function and therefore a long, stable life cycle for the components. This technology is suitable for manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic contact assembly and therefore saves a huge amount of time and money in production.
